Tension

A certain amount of tension in the body is necessary to function normally. Muscles tense and relax sequentially. Tension is necessary to immobilize injured areas while they are healing, and can be a warning sign reflecting structural or organic problems. Yet, tension can result from shock trauma and it can reflect repressed emotions. Identifying the signs of tension, observing its habits and being receptive to what the tension is trying to tell you is the internal process that occurs during an acupressure session. During the session tension and bound energy is released and you can move stiff or painful areas more freely. By stimulating and balancing your Chi, acupressure can also help you perform your best in competitive sports by increasing your stamina, clear your thinking, and increase your speed while stimulating your whole body energy.
